Pregnancy
More and more mothers and mothers-to-be understand the importance of taking the right steps during pregnancy to ensure healthier development and safe delivery of their baby. Chiropractic care is an instrumental part of pre-natal care. Some of the benefits of regular pre-natal chiropractic care include:
After a complete history and evaluation, Dr. Carri Cook will make recommendations on adjustments. Most of our patients receive a combination of two different techniques. This would include: The Webster Technique and The Pro-Adjuster Technique during all trimesters of pregnancy. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjusting technique used to help reduce interference to the nervous system, improving the function of the pelvic muscles and ligaments leading to the reduction of constraint in the woman's uterus allowing the baby the best opportunity to be positioned for a healthy birth. The Pro-Adjuster Technique is a computerized analysis and adjusting system that is gentle and safe, especially during pregnancy. For more information on the Pro-Adjuster, please visit that section of our website.
Receiving the right nutrition during pregnancy is also very important for mom and the developing baby. A nutritional evaluation and recommendations will be given as well. Dr. Carri can also recommend certain exercises, educational classes for childbirth and birthing plan to ensure that you are completely covered and ready for childbirth.
