We understand that arriving at a chiropractic office for the first time can be nerve racking. If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience. Rest assured, we strive to make this experience as welcoming as possible.
In this area of the website, you will be able to take care of the items necessary for your chiropractic visit prior to arriving, in the comfort of your own home. If you can't, that's OK too, just arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the necessary paperwork.

We ask all our new patients to complete their forms online at the button below prior to your appointment. This includes our pediatric patients. If you are a prenatal or postpartum patient, there is an additional form that our staff can email to you. If you have any questions, please contact us at 714-256-2225.
Upon entering our office, our receptionists will welcome you and your family as a member of our family. Often times our intake forms will be emailed to you a head of time and are also available for download. If you cannot complete them prior to arrival, please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to complete the forms in our office. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition
Next, you will have a consultation with one of our doctors to discuss your health-related problems and concerns. This initial visit is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals. Part of your exam includes a series of scans via our Insight Program to help the doctors find the problem areas. Then they will perform a complete chiropractic examination, testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Depending on your specific condition, you may be referred to receive X-rays. At this time, we do not perform X-rays in the office and do send our patients to UMIH or SHIN Imaging. If you have had images within the past year, we do encourage you to bring in the images and report. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignment and degeneration themselves.
At your next appointment, you will receive a detailed report of all findings, go over your chiropractic care plan, receive supplement recommendation and exercises and answer any questions you may have.
Most patients will not be treated the same day as their first visit. This is because the doctors need to go over all the findings, wait for x-rays (if applicable) and determine the best and safest plan of care. Most pediatric and prenatal patients in their third trimester are the exception to this policy. At your next visit, which can be the next day if scheduling allows, your treatment will begin. We may utilize a variety of services and techniques to help you get well and to your health goals. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
We are only "in network" with Blue Shield PPO*. We can verify and possibly bill as an "out of network" provider for all other PPO plans. Because there are so many insurance plans, we cannot guarantee you will have chiropractic coverage. All patients who choose to use their insurance benefits may be asked to pay upfront until we receive an EOB. Any credit can be applied towards your account or reimbursed to you withing 3 business days. Before you start a chiropractic care plan, our staff would be happy to verify your benefits and explain them to you at no charge.
We DO NOT accept Kaiser, American Specialty Heath (ASH), Any HMO plan, Medicare, Medi-Cal, or Cal-Optima.
*Blue Shield PPO who are contacted with American Specialty Health (ASH) are not covered. We are out of network with ASH.
Our goal at Natural Life Chiropractic is to allow everyone to experience the benefits of chiropractic care. If you have no insurance or if your insurance does not have any chiropractic benefits, there are still ways for you to receive the chiropractic care that you need. While most patient pay per visit, we do offer a variety of care packages to include adult, pediatric, prenatal, and massage. Discount rates vary based on number of visits purchased. For these patients, chiropractic care is often cheaper and more effective than alternative pain treatments such as pain medications or invasive surgery.
If you are paying for your visits with a HSA or FSA card, we can provide you a super bill for your services. This can be requested at anytime. Please verify with your individual account provider to see what is an allowable expense. If your payment is returned, you will be responsible for that payment with a $25 returned item fee.
Our providers at NLC do not work on leins and do not take workman's comp cases. If you were in an accident and would like to receive care at our office, all payments are due at time of service. When you are at the end of your care, we can provide you with the necessary paperwork for your case.
